I love my bed

And I really miss it when we are on the road! Just wanted to say that.

Last night we went and met some friends in Fort Worth down in the Stockyards for Wolf Dance which was a concert put on by a local radio station. Ten bands/performers mainly Texas Country but Jack Ingram closed the concert. It was a GREAT concert. After that we went to Love Shack and grabbed a burger and then went to the White Elephant for more drinks. We got a hotel for the night because we weren't going to drive almost 2 hours back to our house. This morning we got up and checked out of the ridiculously expensive hotel we stayed in and headed up to Richardson and met three other friends and two of their little ones for lunch at Applebee's and then we headed home. Now we are vegging out on the couch trying to get motivated to get the rest of the stuff packed so we can leave in the morning. We have Winter Training at 1000 hrs at the Dallas OC and we have to see if we can get the truck in for a PM. It seems like we are always getting a PM but we are supposed to get the oil changed every 25,000 miles and that is about every 5-6 weeks. Crazy..... More later.....

Hi Tnet...me again. Does SNI ever "take" your truck away from you? Like when you have TAH or vacation, or just for no reason they decide to "give you a new truck"? I am thinking that with all the time you spent waiting for it you would like to keep it.

Hi again! I believe they "take" your truck, or can, when you go on vacation in case they need it for a loaner nor something. In a case like that, I think you have to clean it out and leave it at an OC just in case, but I'm not exactly sure. We haven't been here long enough to get vacation yet so we will see when that happens what they want us to do with the truck. As far as TAH (time at home) you do NOT have to worry about them taking your truck. You will park it where ever you decide to park it. It stays in your posession for that so you don't have to worry about cleaning it out. Since we practically live in ours, I would rather be down a few days and not working than have to move ALL of our stuff to a loaner truck. Because we have a ton of crap in here. Now at some point, we may bet a brand new truck, but that won't be for a while. As a team you get the newest trucks. Our first back in February was an 06 with 225,000 on it and when it went down with electrical problems they put us in an 07 Automatic with only 109,000 on it. For a semi, that is practically brand new. I'm guessing we will have it for about a year to a year and a half before we get another one. There is some magic mileage that they pull it from a team, give it to a Solo driver and then give the team a new or newer truck. The reason we always have the newest is because we (teams) pretty much run 24/7 which means we put twice as many miles on it in the same amount of time as a Solo would. We will be putting close to 240,000 miles on this truck in the first year and that is averaging 5,000 miles a week. (Usually more but this figure takes into account TAH when you aren't driving.)
