Gotta love the snow. I took off from Bozeman this morning and it took me almost 8 hours to drive 367 miles. Quite a bit of the road was wet but not snow packed but some of it was like this. These were taken on Homestead Pass in western Montana. Don't worry, I was only going about 15 mph when I took them. :)
We got our appointment time changed to 0800 tomorrow morning so as long as Snoqualmie Pass is open, then we will make it. It is only 1630 local time and we have just under 300 miles to go so we should get in around 2200 local time. At least we will get a good nights sleep before we deliver in the morning.

Hi Guys! I first started following your adventures at pumpkindriver.com. I feel I need to introduce myself to you guys because I feel like a ... stalker! I just LOVE your stories from the road. Your sense of humor is awesome! You have a great way of writing so it makes the reader feel like we're there with you. LOVE IT! And, you actually passed through my hometown of Sacramento once. And you complained about the traffic! I hear ya, it is bad! Anyway, I love what you write. I'm glad you guys have the camera because your pictures are awesome! Whew. I grew up crossing Snoqualmie Pass all the time, home on the west side, family on the east. I miss it SO badly. Of course, maybe I won't miss it so much once I've driven a pumpkin across it ;D
Stalker Steve, that has a ring to it. LOL!! I'm happy you like my blog. Just my ramblings, but I'm glad they are entertaining. Maybe one day these will be part of my memoirs.... :) I think I have to be famous for that though, huh?
Tom, thanks! A REALLY REALLY wonderful person gave us this camera and we can't thank him enough. I know the camera can take better pictures, but that was the best I could do while driving. Haha
Lour, I absolutely LOVE this part of the country and we would love to buy some land over here. We grew up in the mountains so this feels like home. But you definitely look at it differently when you are driving a truck in the bad weather. I mean, the bad weather sucks all right, but what really sucks is that it takes so long to go from point A to point B and you get paid by the mile, not by the hour. We started in Feb 07 and got our first run April 12th. I am glad that we had all that time to drive before our first winter. It really helped with the confidence level.
its funny, guys...in the three weeks I have been on the road, two of them I spent in the snow. I feel your pain! I used to LOVE snow...not anymore, nuh-uh.
